DNS/MX (Domain Zone) Hosting

Domain Name Service (or DNS) is the service on the internet that allows someone to find your website or mail server using your URL (such as www.spamanswer.com). Many companies have their DNS hosted by their ISP (Internet Service Provider). However, this makes changing ISPs a challenge, and also many ISPs just aren't very good at it.

By hosting your DNS with us, you get top-notch support separate from your ISP. So if you see a better deal on DSL or Cable connectivity to the internet in your area, you're free to change service without having your mail and web server stop working!

In addition, MX (Mail Exchange) service provides a backup mail service, so if your mail server is down due to maintenance or a problem, your mail will be temporarily routed to us while you're offline. When your server comes back up, we send all of your mail to you. No more complaints from clients that they couldn't get an email to you, or embarrassing "unable to find email server" messages back to your clients.
Services:

  • DNS Zone service, including maintenance.
  • Backup Mail service, to store your mail in the event of a primary mail server failure (mail will be automatically forwarded to your server when mail server comes back online). This is accomplished via secondary MX entry in your DNS zone.
